The 30-second case

Problem. Solution. Next step.

Problem

The real question was not ‘where can I buy a book?’ but ‘how do I keep learning with purpose once I am home?’

Solution

The store is the entrance. The learning path is the reason to return.

Status / next step

The screens are the hypothesis. Understanding, trust and sustained learning are what need to be measured.

The observation

The journey of learning does not end when you leave. The environment that supports it often does.

After time in Mecca or Medina, the motivation to keep learning remains. What disappears is easy access to trusted books, scholars and the daily rhythm of learning together. Existing online bookshops solve the purchase, but not the follow-through.

The real question was not ‘where can I buy a book?’ but ‘how do I keep learning with purpose once I am home?’

The opportunity

Commerce can open the door. Guidance turns that access into a path forward.

I connected the trust of a specialist bookshop with the continuity of a learning environment. Each title becomes more than a product: it can be the next step within a wider subject, level and rhythm of study.

The answer is not to show more books, but to help people understand which book is right for them at the right moment.

The solution direction

One connected experience for discovering, choosing, understanding and continuing to learn.

The experience connects curated books, authors and levels with guided onboarding, language support and live sessions. A personal route shows where each learner can begin, what a realistic next step looks like and which support will help them move forward.

The store is the entrance. The learning path is the reason to return.

04

Product logic

People should be able to verify authenticity before they buy.

Books can be explored by author, language, level, subject and the kind of support a learner needs rather than only by category. On the detail page, context matters as much as price: why the book matters, who it is for and what should come next.
Trust grows when the source, level and next step are clear at a glance.
05

The visual system

The calm of a library, with warmth wherever a decision needs to be made.

Bordeaux gives the experience authority without making it feel distant. Cream and warm beige create room to read, while mango highlights help and action. Tajawal gives the headings direction; Lora slows down longer passages in a considered way.
The system feels thoughtful and human, never like a generic marketplace.
06

What still needs to be proven

The concept makes the learning loop visible. Real students still need to show whether it holds up.

Ayn Al-Hikmah is a self-initiated design vision, not a launched client product. The next step is to test whether people choose more suitable books, understand the recommendations and return after purchase for support and the next stage of learning.
The screens are the hypothesis. Understanding, trust and sustained learning are what need to be measured.

Three core journeys / fully developed

From the promise.
To choosing a book.
To genuine understanding.

The landing page, bookshop and detail page tell one continuous story: recognise what is missing, explore with purpose and make a well-informed choice.

My contribution

From an online bookshop to an environment where knowledge can take root, grow and continue.

I translated the opportunity into positioning, service architecture, information hierarchy and a responsive interface. Because this is a concept project, I am not presenting invented impact figures; the case makes clear which assumptions still need to be tested with real knowledge seekers.
